The business was founded in 1952, when racer Toni Schmitz opened his shop, becoming a BMW dealer in 1969 and associating with YAMAHA in 1972. Honda was added in 1980. His son Georg Schmitz, mechanic with diploma in machine engineering, took over the business in 1986.
